Robert is a former SAR Research Fellow at Australia's National Film & Sound Archive [NFSA] currently living and working as an English as Foreign Language [EFL] education professional in mainland China. 

 

He has an HBA (Film), GCTESOL, GDIS and MTESOL.  Turning to independent transmedia auto-ethnography, his scholarly non-fiction books are published in the USA by McFarland & Co. Inc. and Bloomsbury Academic and his experimental auto-ethnographic films on Australian disability and LGBT+ performing arts are in the NFSA collection.  A registered independent digital publisher based in post-Covid-19 China, Robert now augments his current EFL teaching and curriculum design with auto-ethnographic trans-media digital publishing and freelance consultant-based information retrieval / discourse analysis.  He has been teaching EFL in China for 10 years, in both tertiary (in Shandong and Shanghai) and private, corporate sectors (in Shanghai) since first arriving in 2011/09 in Xinjiang [XUAR]. 

 

He currently teaches EFL macro-skills and Inter-Cultural Communication {IC]  in Shandong, China
