A Stranger Here Myself is a longitudinal autoethnographic transmedia project created, designed and content-managed by Robert Cettl.
Robert is a former SAR Research Fellow at Australia's National Film & Sound Archive [NFSA] currently living and working as an English as Foreign Language [EFL] education professional in mainland China.
He has an HBA (Film), GCTESOL, GDIS and MTESOL. Recently turning to independent transmedia auto-ethnography in late-career pedagogic practice, his scholarly non-fiction books are published in the USA by McFarland & Co. Inc. and Bloomsbury Academic and his experimental auto-ethnographic films on Australian disability and LGBT+ performing arts are in the NFSA collection.
A registered independent digital publisher Robert now augments his current EFL teaching and curriculum design with auto-ethnographic trans-media project development and freelance consultant-based information retrieval / discourse analysis. His core project interest is in multicultural identity as lived experience, beginning in an Australian context. He has been teaching EFL in China for over 12 years, in both tertiary (in Shandong and Shanghai) and private, corporate sectors (in Shanghai) since first arriving in 2011/09 in Xinjiang [XUAR].
Robert currently teaches Inter-Cultural Communication [IC] in keeping with Chinese Ministry of Education protocol at the University of Jinan, Shandong, China.
